About Celesty…
While the artistic history of Celesty Claudio spans
several decades she only discovered, in recent years,
the style that fully satisfies her need to create. As
best described in her words it is “abstract while my
technique highlights the flow of rich colors, textures
and waves of air in the paint.” Recognized for her
talent since the age of five she was frequently honored
for her dedication and command of realism. Private
lessons commenced shortly after the age of ten as she
continuously explored a wide variety of colors and
textures. The many years of practice have certainly been
rewarded in the powerful feelings now conveyed in her
unique visual expressions.
A native of Puerto Rico, a Caribbean island rich in
color and artistic inspiration, her senses and emotions
were heightened by nature's beauty and richness. “The
lush countryside and magnificent waters captured
unforgettable scents and sounds like no other” says
Celesty. As with so many artists, these impressions were
ultimately translated to canvas after a difficult and
lonely period in her life. They provided, as she
explains, “a profoundly compelling birth to new feelings
and innovative creations.” It is this evolution that we
all know to be so common among the greatest and most
innovative artists of our time.
After combining her art with several years of success in
the resort management industry Celesty is now a full
time artist and resident of Sedona. Arriving recently,
with her husband and two children, she feels that the
beautiful Red Rock country of Northern Arizona has been
equally inspiring. “A place like no other, where
countless artists have been transformed, Sedona is the
most uniquely beautiful site on earth!” |

A word from the artist...
If I could say, in simple words, what my art means to me
I would tell you dreams can come true! As an artist, and
passionate advocate of art, it is my goal to share my
most intimate expressions with you. The world around us
offers the most wonderful ideas, new dreams and colors
in an infinite canvas. Acrylic is my medium and the
vocabulary is from my heart. |
